And in the end...
2006-05-04 / 11:34 a.m.
Since Andrea has broken her Diaryland silence with an end of Southern post, I guess I should do the same. I beat Andrea by a little bit, as I was done with all my work Tuesday night at 6. Since then I've been trying to pack and watching random stuff off the network before I lose it forever.
And on that note I give you the things I will actually miss about Southern.
Pasta Day, highspeed internet (even though there's a bandwidth limit), being able to golf all "winter" long, intramural softball and hockey, LAN games of counter strike and AOE, jamming at 1 a.m., directing talent shows and such, 24/7-365 air conditioning, staff that are actually cool (like Dr. Ball and Ruf), and free concerts.
Things I won't miss: worship credit, convo credit, required vespers, night check, parking tickets, staff that aren't cool, loud neighbors, queers, bandwidth limits, overly-conservative students, Strawberry festival, fire alarms caused by burnt popcorn at 3 a.m. working with morons, humidity in January, and rain every other day.
That done I really have no major gripes with the school. They provided me with a decent education (albeit an expensive one) and that's helped me land a job that pays a heck of a lot more than I thought I'd be making at the age of 21. On that note, if you havne't heard, I'll be working in the PHiladelphia area for at least the next five years, so give me a call and come and see me.
Bye.
